Mission Statement

The purpose of the Alabama HBCU (Historically Black College & University) Hall of Fame is to honor and preserve the names and deeds of those, who by achievement or service, have brought lasting honor to the State of Alabama and to themselves.

ALHBCUHOF History

The Alabama HBCU Hall of Fame will hold its first Induction Ceremony on Thursday, December 15, 2022, in Selma, Alabama. The first class (c/o 2022) of The Alabama HBCU Hall of Fame will consist of at least 1 person from each of Alabama’s four-year historically black colleges and universities. Alabama State University, Alabama A&M University, Tuskegee University, Miles College, Stillman College, Oakwood University, Selma University, and Talladega College will all be represented by the induction of an alumnus into the first class of the Alabama HBCU Hall of Fame.
